Our non profit is growing and we need to develop and implement an IT plan that includes VOIP. I plan on using MS Teams, but I don't want to have to purchase multiple phone #s for all the users. Anyone have any advice or resources?
I use a variety of VOIP platforms with various clients, based on what they want to use, and I use them on my own smart phone and my own laptop - no one has had to buy me anything.
If your users - employees and volunteers - have their own smart phones and/or laptops or desktops, they can install MS Teams on their devices, for free.
Your biggest concern, if people are going to use their own devices, is those staff or volunteers who don't have their own devices. Is that an issue?

Microsoft has recently made the phone system add-on for Microsoft Teams available at a nonprofit discount. You can get a phone number with local and long distance calling for about $14/mo per account. You can make and receive calls from the Teams app on your desktop or smartphone and there are some physical handsets that are supported as well.
