I've used Google Lighthouse quite a bit at work. You can run it in Chrome as an extension or if you want to have embedded automation, the full toolsuite is available on Github. You can use that to test within your Continuous Integration workflow. It can do audits on performance, accessibility, progressive web apps, and search engine optimization. Awesome tool.
Matthew, any advice on how to know what to download from Github? For those of us who aren't techies, Github looks... incredibly intimidating.
Thanks for the endorsement of one of the tools. It helps me decide what to invest my time in using.
You really only want to use the github offering is if you want to include it in your software continuous integration pipe. I would use the browser plugin for non-techies.
Thank you for this list! I'm looking for such tools for a long time. Many of them are really very convenient and useful.
