it's so nice to see that techsoup is tracking email opens using web bugs, and that it can't be bothered to set up a response email address. I turn off image loading to prevent senders from monitoring my email usage. I hope that non-profits using email tracking technology would at least have the decency avoid harassing those of us who don't appreciate being tracked. ALSO WHY AREN"T THESE FORUMS USING HTTPs?:

Hi Eric - thanks for your concern. The volume of email our global operations manage means we don't send from a monitored email address because we wouldn't be able to manage the queue of replies. We do track opens and clicks as a way to monitor whether our communications are pertinent to nonprofits. Since you already proactively blocking this tech, I hope you can forgive the extra email checking if you wanted to hear from us, or if the cadence is wrong for you. I'll have to ask another colleague to respond about the https issue. This may take some time, as (like all nonprofits) we are stretched very thin by the demands of responding to the COVID crisis.
